The Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, RSM, WestCMR and Valley National Bank are lending their support to the inaugural Pelican Women’s Championship Presented by DEX Imaging, tournament officials announced today. The new LPGA tournament is scheduled for May 11-17, 2020, at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla.
The Pelican Women’s Championship will feature 144 of the world’s best golfers competing over four rounds for a share of the $1.75 million purse. The event is operated by Eiger Marketing Group, a sports and lifestyle marketing agency which also owns/operates LPGA events in Los Angeles and Atlantic City.
During tournament week, the Tampa Bay Lightning have secured naming rights to the Lightning Lounge, a high-end hospitality lounge located on the 18th hole that provides an elevated experience for fans. The Tampa Bay Rays are the presenting partner of the tournament’s No. 1 hole, which will feature extensive team branding under their partnership.
WestCMR and Valley National Bank are serving as supporters of the Women’s Leadership Summit, which will be held during tournament week and brings together community and business leaders for an inspiring day of networking, lunch and speakers.
RSM is serving as title sponsor of the Junior Golf Show on the Saturday of tournament week. The hour-long program, which will be held on the driving range and is free to attend, provides an opportunity for kids to watch and learn from LPGA professionals and special guests.
